THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...MUCH OF THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY EVENING.

* SNOWFALL...WET SNOW OF 4 TO 8 INCHES WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE.

* VISIBILITY...LESS THAN A MILE IN HEAVIER SNOW.

* TEMPERATURE/WIND CHILL...TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S.

* IMPACTS...THE SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES...RESULTING IN LOW
VISIBILITY AND SLICK...SNOW OR SLUSH COVERED ROADS. THE HEAVY
SNOW MAY LINGER INTO THE EVENING HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
SNOW...SLEET ...AND/OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT WOULD SERIOUSLY
IMPACT TRAVEL. MONITOR LATER FORECASTS FOR UPDATES.
