Infrastructure is a key buzzword in Washington these days, but, as Soy Transportation Coalition Executive Director Mike Steenhoek notes during a Washington waterways symposium Tuesday, the nation’s inland waterways still trail other transportation modes in political interest and commitment. In a second interview, Steenhoek discusses the growing economic impact of Midwest river navigation for the entire country.
