Two-thirds of Illinois corn rated poor-very poor
For the first time this year, no corn is rated in excellent condition across the state. Only 7% rated in good condition.

Crop conditions continue to worsen across the state. The Illinois Ag Statistics Service says 66% of the state's corn and 49% of soybeans are rated poor-very poor. Neighboring states are just as bad or even worse:

As of Sunday, 38% of the Illinois corn is in the dough stage and 8% is in the dent stage. Forty percent of the soybean crop is setting pods, compared with the long-term average of 18% for the date.
Ninety percent of the sorghum crop is rated in poor-very poor condition. Forty-six percent of the crop has headed, with 2% coloring.
Statewide, 91% of Illinois pastures are rated in poor-very poor condition.
