Storms bring both wind and rain to Central Illinois
Thursday evening's storms brought needed rainfall to areas south of I-72, but high winds also caused damage to fields near Litchfield.

A cluster of thunderstorms brought rain to portions of south central Illinois Thursday evening. The National Weather Service in Lincoln reported rainfall totals anywhere from a trace up to over 4 inches of rainfall in portions of Macoupin and Montgomery counties.
Near Litchfield, high winds blew down standing corn fields, according to Dave Lidy of M&M Service Company.
