Ed and Allison McEwen will run the official Illinois Lamb stand at the State Fair in Springfield for the final time this year. After 10 years, they will place the stand up for sale.  The reason for their move -- both their farm and kids require much more attention these days.

RFD Radio's Rita Frazer spoke with the McEwen's during Tuesday's set-up at the Commodities Pavilion.

RFD Radio will host at the Illinois Farm Bureau stage in the Commodities Pavilion, starting this Friday.  The stage will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.  John & Kris Parkhurst will provide entertainment at the stage.

90 years at the fair

An icon at the Illinois State Fair will celebrate her 90th birthday this year. Since 1922, the butter cow has graced the Dairy Building at the fair in Springfield. The unusual work of art is an Illinois State Fair tradition, drawing in fair-goers to see her likeness sculpted in more than 600 to 800 pounds of butter
