Agriculture will be in the spotlight Tuesday as it will be Agriculture Day on the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.

USDA agencies in Illinois are marking the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Ag Day at the State Fair with a ceremony at mid-morning.

There will be numerous VIPs on the IFB Stage at the Commodities Pavilion during the noon-hour.

Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to sign into law several IFB-approved legislative measures just before he goes to the Livestock Center for the Sale of Champions.

IFB President Philip Nelson will present the Junior champions and reserve champions with framed photos during the sale.  We have a photo gallery of all the champions from the 2012 Jr. Livestock Show.
