Rural poll sees growing support for Romney
USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack is in 'full campaign mode' for his boss, President Obama. But RFD Radio's Matt Kaye reports a new poll finds a rural surge in support for challenger Mitt Romney.

Republican Mitt Romney has turned a strong lead among rural voters in swing states into a landslide, according to a National Rural Assembly/Center for Rural Strategies poll released this week.
The random cellphone and land line poll of 600 likely rural voters in nine battleground states Oct. 9-11 has Romney at 59 percent among the survey's respondents. Obama's support is now down to 37 percent among rural battleground voters, a plunge of 10 points from the actual rural vote in those states four years ago.
The poll questioned 600 likely voters living in rural counties in nine swing states — Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.
