North Carolina pork producers buy Brazilian corn
Firms say it's cheaper to import corn than buy domestically.

Prestige Farms, along with two other North Carolina livestock companies have announced that they will import 750,000 tonnes of Brazilian corn, as US corn prices remain above Brazilian prices. Prestige Farms raises 170,000 sows and 15 million turkeys- consuming 50 million bushels of corn per year.
