Overall coverage was scant, but where rains fell over the weekend there were good rains.

Isolated thunderstorms dumped up to 3 inches of rain in and around the St. Louis metro area on Sunday, but the rest of Illinois didn't see much rainfall.
The National Weather Service says rainfall between .25 and 1 inch fell in a narrow band from near Springfield to along the McLean-DeWitt county line. Lawrenceville in southeastern Illinois received 1.37 inches of rain in a shower Sunday, along with high winds and hail.
Some isolated showers fell in northern Illinois during Saturday with up to 1 inch reported around the DeKalb area.
The latest 6-10 day outlook still calls for above-normal temperatures and dry weather across much of the eastern Corn Belt.
