All of Illinois in drought

Much of the central Corn Belt is under some drought category this week.

For this first time this year, the entire state of Illinois is under some category of drought, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor.

Southern Illinois remains the most drought-affected region of the state with nearly 8% of the state in D2 or severe drought status.

A large portion of Central Illinois remains in D1 or moderate drought conditions.
