It’s Iowa’s turn this year for the annual Farm Progress Show. RFD Radio Network’s Rita Frazer already chose a prime location in the media tent and will send reports back to Illinois.

FarmWeekNow’s Dan Grant and Martin Ross will also be on hand covering this year’s event, held in the town of Boone in north-central Iowa.

Farm Progress officials report this year’s drought won’t have a big impact on crops set aside for the popular field demonstrations. Weather permitting, combine demonstrations will take place at 11:00 a.m. each morning, with tillage tools running at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoons.

The show begins today and runs through Thurs., August 30. Mark your calendars: next year’s Farm Progress Show returns to the semi-permanent site near Decatur, Ill. and will run August 27-29, 2013.RFD Radios Rita Frazer at the FPS Media tent.
