No Farm Bill action expected this week
Illinois Farm Bureau President Philip Nelson says he's disappointed in lack of action on the farm bill, and talked with RFD Radio about what’s next in Congress.

Farm Bureau continues to urge Congress to reach agreement on the House Agriculture Committee and Senate-passed farm bills. However, the farm bill is not on the list of bills that will be considered by the House this week. For more information, visit

In a Tuesday AgriTalk radio program interview, Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, said he thinks the farm bill will be considered during the lame-duck session of Congress after the election. The Ag Committee will not consider anything related to the bill next week.
