Drought to persist through fall
The latest Seasonal Drought forecast shows most of Illinois will remain in drought thru the month of November.

The latest Seasonal Dought outlook, released today, indicates drought conditions in northern Illinois may improve this fall. But the remainder of the state will continue in extreme drought conditions.
Today's map shows the drought will persist across the Midwest and Great Plains, with no indication of when conditions will improve in the next three months.
