Corn harvest now 77% complete

The Illinois Ag Statistics Service says this week's corn harvest completion rate is double what it normally is for this date.

Illinois corn harvest is currently 77% complete vs. the 33% normal rate for this date, according to the Illinois Ag Statistics Service.

Twenty-two percent of the state's soybeans are harvested, which is nearly identical to the long-term average of 21%.  Sorghum harvest is 27% finished vs. the normal of 26%.

Winter wheat planting is 9% complete this week, slightly behind the 10% long-term average.
