Conditions across Illinois will turn extremely cold this weekend with temperatures 20 degrees F below normal. Rains move into the Plains tonight with heavy precipitation over the center and southern areas Thursday and Friday.
The 6 to 10 day shows extremely cold temps for the eastern two-thirds of the country while the west is normal to above normal. Precipitation looks below normal for most of the country while above normal along the Gulf and Atlantic states. The 11 to 15 day maps show below normal temps for the eastern two-thirds of the country with above normal west. Precipitation is above normal for the northern Plains, the Gulf, and Atlantic states.
Brazil continues to receive adequate moisture for establishing crops. Argentina is dry but that allows for rapid planting; look for better rainfall a week out.
